Selita Ebanks is a Cayman-born model and actress. Ebanks has worked for high fashion brands Neiman Marcus and Ralph Lauren and appeared in magazines such as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Vogue, and Glamour, but she is best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret, as one of the brand’s “Angels” from 2005 to early 2009.

We had a little chat with Selita, to find out how she’s feeling about the Cash & Rocket US Tour in just 2 weeks!

You will be returning to Cash & Rocket this year, driving alongside our Founder, Julie Brangstrup. What has been the highlight of your time on the rallies, and what are you looking forward to most this year?

This year I will have the honor of driving alongside the founder of Cash & Rocket. In the past, the tour has taken place throughout Europe which was a truly an amazing adventure but this year I’m excited about it coming to the U.S. I can’t wait to cruise the coastline of California with Julie and take in all sites.

Cash & Rocket is supporting three amazing charities this year. How do you plan on using your platform to raise awareness for their missions?

I have had the honor of helping raise millions of dollars for the 3 Charities. I plan on continuing to be persistent in fundraising and using my social media platforms to educate my followers about the amazing life-changing work they do.

If you could only pack three things to take with you on the Tour, what would you pack?

I don’t think I could only pack 3 things on this tour because it’s quite glamorous but if I had to it would be 1. Red Lipstick 2. Charger 3. Snacks.

What songs will you play when driving through the US?

Every tour I have an anthem song. It somehow always ends up being a Bruno Mars song. I love his voice & energy. It’s great for long distance drives. This year I leaning towards “Finesse”.

Our tagline is “Drive the Change.” In your opinion, what changes do we need to make for our world?

I think the world needs so much change in various areas such as health care, gun violence, racism, education, etc… I don’t have the ultimate answer to these issues but I do believe that if we all individually do our part and continue to educate our children the world one day will be a better place.

What does empowerment mean to you?

Empowerment is important to me because today’s society is sadly driven by negativity and salacious material mainly via social media. In a world where violence and chaos are the norms, it’s important to support and encourage one another to be our best selves especially our children.
