British fashion designer Stella McCartney teamed up with Glamour magazine to design an exclusive T-Shirt to benefit The Girl Project, a philanthropic initiative by Glamour that aims to ensure girls everywhere have access to the quality of secondary education they deserve. The Girl Project tackles big issues that keep girls out of schools such as poverty, underage marriage, civil unrest, bullying, teenage pregnancy, homeless and gender-based violence.
When asked about the meaning behind the text featured on the T-Shirt, Stella McCartney said “I wanted to design a T-shirt that empowers women and encourages them to look inside and to love themselves and others. I also wanted to make a statement that speaks to the rippling effects of what’s happening around the world. It’s time to speak out, woman to woman.” The T-shirt was modeled by cover star Zendaya on November 2017 issue of Glamour Magazine and is featured on all 17 global editions by international models. Proceeds from the sales of ‘Women, Power, Love’ contribute to giving girls everywhere the opportunity for the education they deserve.
