The Greek born blogger Evangelie Smyrniotaki, also known as StyleHeroine, has in collaboration with the Norwegian based jewellery brand Tom Wood created Heroine - a beautiful fashion line of 10 amazing pieces. We absolutely love the jumpsuits and the long mohair jumper.

Read more about the collaboration and see the amazing look-book pictures below:

Evangelie about the collection:

“I’m extremely proud to present to you my first capsule collection, I’ve designed for Tom Wood, the originally jewellery mega-brand which is now expanding to the clothing industry. My favorite Scandis will make their market debut with two lines: The namesake one, a men and women minimalistic collection and the Heroine by Tom Wood, 10 cleaned lined pieces that were always on the top of my wish list. Ten pieces that could be worn in multiple ways yet all destined to make us all feel comfortably confident.”

Tom Wood about the collection:

«Heroine» by Tom Wood is a tight capsule collection of Ready to wear, made for the strong and independent woman. Soft leather, sharp poplin, kid mohair and solid wool form the collection consisting of ten carefully selected styles. All in quiet colors of black, midnight blue, shades of grey and crisp white.
Based on the key pieces missing in Evangelie’s closet, we decided to make something unique, still easy to wear and functional. With a strong focus on leaving all fuzz behind and giving room for the clean-cut lines, a comfortable fit and high quality fabrics – like Tom Wood always strive to fulfill.

Q & A

How did the collaboration come about?

Mona Jensen, Tom Wood’s creative director, got in contact with me the first time on May 2012 when she had started working on the jewelry brand. At that point she had asked me to design a jewelry for Tom Wood but then I didn’t feel quite ready to do it. However with clothes was another story. It’s something from age zero I loved to do. I had even created my mini-line on high school. And they were actually wearable. So when we hooked up again with TW team during the last NY fashion week, they popped up the big question. And now you all know my answer, I just couldn’t turn down the chance to design my first capsule collection.

How would you describe the collection?

Simple and strong.

How has it been working with Tom Wood?

We’ve been working mostly from distance. But my times in Oslo were surely wonderful. Except from my slippery strolls on the city’s frozen roads though. You can imagine.

What is your biggest source of inspiration, what inspires you?

I get inspired mostly from the catwalks.

What is it about Tom Wood that made you want to design a collection with them?

Tom Wood’s aesthetics. We have so much in common. But actually what still amazes me most, is their focus. They are committed to simplicity. They are not trying to mix a bit of everything. And that’s what I liked the most.

In what way does the collection reflect your style?

I’ve designed the whole collection accordingly to the items I’ve always wanted to have in my wardrobe. So it’s practically my dream wish list, totally my style.

What’s the story behind The Fathers shirt?

Once at my parents house I’ve had forgotten to bring over my shirt. So I asked my dad to borrow one of his closet. That was it. I had discovered the perfectly shaped one. The one I could wear in a million ways, sleeves up or down, buttoned all the way up, partially unbuttoned, loose on shoulders. Anything. That shirt was genius BUT striped. So when brainstorming for Heroine by Tom Wood collection, the first though that came in mind was “wouldn’t it be perfect to have the shirt in crisp white?”. And now we do!

What is your favorite piece?

I’m emotionally connected with all of my pieces. From my father’s shirt, which I find it genius in its own simplicity, to the wool jumpsuit, the most versatile-sleek piece I’ve ever owned.

Who would you like to see in this piece?

Emmanuelle Alt. I would die
