New York. To celebrate the recent opening of the Fifth Avenue store, this December Valentino will unveil a special capsule collection of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear items and accessories, designed by Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli exclusively for this occasion.
The collection will also include a Christmas ornament decorated with a red heart, which will also come in white camouflage. The red heart designed on the capsule collection symbolizes the Creative Directors’ love and passion for the city of New York.
Valentino’s Fifth Avenue store opened its doors in August 2014. Situated at 693 Fifth Avenue in a Post-Modern building constructed by John Burgee and Philip Johnson, it was formally the world renowned Takashimaya Department Store.

The 20.000 square feet flagship marks an important step in the development of Valentino’s worldwide retail network expansion, and it continues the innovative store concept developed by Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, together with David Chipperfield Architects.
The store concept combines old and new in order to generate a Palazzo atmosphere, steering away from the pure showroom and promoting a new architectural format in place of a more traditional retail boutique structure.
The Fifth Avenue Flagship will carry all product categories: women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, along with a complete men’s collection. Accessories will have a strong presence in Fifth Avenue and will form the largest selection of Valentino Garavani accessories worldwide. It will include the new Camubutterfly pieces and zodiac finger clutches that will be exclusive to Fifth Avenue.
The Fifth Avenue Flagship is an opportunity to offer a one-of-a-kind brand experience and to cater to an elite clientele, serving both its male and female clients in a single location.

The new global store concept for men’s and women’s accessories creates a shared personal atmosphere while still maintaining the brand’s fundamental values of craftsmanship, romanticism and classical style.
Fifth Avenue will be the second Valentino Boutique after San Francisco to carry the men’s collection in the United States.
Valentino currently has 160 free-standing boutiques worldwide, including 14 U.S. boutiques with an additional one to open later this fall in the Miami Design District.
