Taylor Swift’s 1989 took the album of the year award at the 58th Grammy awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday night. Album of The Year is the most prestigious award in the music industry.
The singer – who is the first woman to win the award twice (she first won in 2010 for Fearless.)- also won best pop vocal album and best music video for her track Bad Blood.
CONGRATULATIONS TAYLOR! Well done!
In her speech she said:
As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: there will people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going you’ll look around and you’ll know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.
The singer stunned on the red carpet with a two-piece Atelier Versace custom-made for her. Accessory-wise, she showed off one of the biggest jewelry trends to take root in 2016 so far: the choker. Her shoes are Stuart Weitzman.

- Song of the year: “Thinking Out Loud” – Ed Sheeran
