The glamorous 69th EE British Academy Film Awards, hosted by Stephen Fry, was being held at the stunning Royal Opera House. Stars from across the globe—including more than a few Oscar nominees—bring plenty of glamour to the red carpet. See below all the best looks from the British film event of the year.
Alicia Vikander in a leather Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2016 dress. She kept her make-up pared-back and simple, whilst her hair was worn in tousled waves swept over to one side.
Dakota Johnson wore a gown by Dior accessorised with Repossi jewellery. She matched her lipstick and eye make-up to her scarlet Dior gown, leaving her hair loose.
Lily Donaldson in a gown by Saint Laurent. Loose waves and red lipstick made up Lily Donaldson’s classic red-carpet look.
Gemma Chan in a Jenny Packham gown with De Beers and Monica Vinader jewellery. She wore her hair in loose waves, whilst metallic eye make-up and rose-toned lipstick and blush made up her beauty look.
Rooney Mara in a Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown. She accessorised her hair with a wide metal hairband, whilst strong brows and rose lipstick were the focus of her make-up.
Heida Reed looked sensational in a dramatic black gown with an extremely plunging neckline and a flowing chiffon skirt. She wore Monica Vinader jewellery.
Stacy Martin accessorised her Miu Miu gown with Atelier Swarovski jewels.
Cate Blanchett in a custom embellished Alexander McQueen gown and jewellery by Tiffany & Co. An elegant up-do and neutral-toned make-up comprised Cate Blanchett’s red-carpet look.
Dree Hemingway wore an Erdem gown accessorised with David Morris jewellery. She may have been wearing heavily-embellished Erdem, but that didn’t stop her experimenting with her make-up. Berry-toned lips, silvery eyeshadow and mascara-free lashes were complemented by a messy up-do.
Saoirse Ronan wore a bespoke Burberry gown with Chopard jewellery. She looked pretty and fresh with a simple ponytail offset by pink lipstick and feline eyeliner flicks.
Olga Kurylenko accessorised her gown with Atelier Swarovski jewels.
